Parents What Parents Say "The Nook is a place where all types of children, shy and outgoing, learn and grow. Alexandra transitioned easily from the Nook to Kindergarten. The academic and social building blocks learned at the Nook helped to place her with other students eager and ready to learn. She has fond memories of all the things she learned and recently used a song from K-5 to help her classmates remember the planets in the solar system. Her sister Becky came to the Nook apprehensive of strangers. Her first two years of life were filled with hospitals, tests, and medications hoping to shrink a tumor. The staff at the Nook has been exceptional at knowing how to deal with her special needs and keeping us informed of her accomplishments and set backs. When she first started at the Nook, the staff was able to gauge what was right for her. She began an hour or two a day, moved to a half day, and now doesn't want to leave her friends or teachers.
